Policies • Arrival 8:10-8:20 • Student will be marked tardy after 8:20 • Attendance-Student • More than 3 absences there will be teacher contact • Proper notification after each absence, note must be sent within 3 days. • Doctor’s notes after 3 absences! • No more than 10 absences in a year! After 10 absences grades will be withheld. • Dismissal changes • Emergency Contact cards • Please keep them updated • Permission to Photograph • Code of Conduct • School uniform

  4. Grading Criteria • 90-100------A • 80-89--------B • 70-79--------C • 60-69--------D • 59 and less--F

Class Routines • Check folders daily and remove completed work and parent notices! • Home Learning • 30 Minutes of Independent Reading/log • SpellingCity.com/Spelling notebook • All Home Learning needs to be turned in Friday! • Classroom test make ups • Our class checks out library books every Thursday. Please be sure to send books to school to return every Thursday! • SAT-10 to be given in March or April to first grade

  6. iReady • Testing will start this week and is a time consuming process! • I will send home results when testing is finished. • At that time, students will be required to regularly use iReady at home. • Students MUST log in to iReady using the Student Portal on Dadeschools.net • I will send home Student Portal usernames/passwords when it is time for students to begin using iReady at home!

  8. Parent Conferences I am happy to hold conferences any day by phone. I am available for classroom conferences on Mondays and Thursday from 2:00-3:00pm. I can sometimes meet on other days if special arrangements need to be made. Please email me if you have a concern!
