Biome Project Due: Friday 5/9/14 • *Early Bonus if turned in by Wednesday 4/30/14 • You are to make either a scrapbook or a PowerPoint presentation showing the 9 major biomes of Earth. • Tundra • Taiga/Boreal forest • Temperate grassland • Temperate deciduous forest • Desert • Tropical rain forest • Tropical dry forest • Temperate scrubland • Tropical savanna • For each biome, you should have the following: • 2 slides or pages presented like a scrapbook (side by side) 2 pts • a heading for each biome 1 pt • a chart showing the average precipitation for each month 1 pt • a chart showing the average temperature for each month 1 pt • a map locating the biome on Earth or a landscape view of the biome (think of a postcard) 1 pt • a listing of the plants found in the biome 2 pts • a listing of the animals found in the biome 2 pts • a picture of a plant found in the biome 1 pt • a picture of an animal found in the biome 1 pt • You will also need a cover slide or sheet with a title and your name 1 pt • You may draw and color your pictures or print them off a computer. • Your project needs to be neat, colorful, and creative. • PowerPoint presentations must be printed out with 6 slides to a page and stapled. • Scrapbooks must be bound along the left side, like a book. I will have report covers to purchase if you need one. Please do not use real scrapbooks, as they are expensive and too big. Copy paper is just the right size.
