  2. So, what does it mean to recycle? • To put or pass through a cycle again, for further treatment. • To extract useful materials, most often from garbage or waste. • To extract and reuse useful substances found in waste. • To recondition or adapt useful materials into a new use or function.

  3. Why do people recycle? • Recycling shows an awareness towards the planet and it’s resources. • It protects wildlife. • Recycling is good for the economy. • Recycling helps our climate problems. • Recycling saves energy consumption.

  4. S.W.O.T • S – Recycling is a relatively ‘current’ trend, it is going from strength to strength and sends a brilliant message. • W – People may not know what to make, however we will provide examples. There may be a limited amount of materials available. • 0 – People can leave with an item, something they’ve made or something they’ve bought. It gives us a chance to engage with others. • T – Using glue may cancel out the environmental message. We can’t predict how long people will take. Safety with equipment – scissors, etc.

  5. P.E.S.T • P – It is helping to promote and raise awareness of an ever more serious matter. • E – All money will be donated, and the materials are all donated. • S – Allowing people to become as involved as they like in the project, and get creative. Giving people ideas that they can take home with them and reuse! • T – The project is incredibly open minded, you can create and use as little or as much as you like.
