  2. What does GEARS do GEARS is a single desk approach to the coordination of assessment recognition throughout the Gordon Enterprises. Liaising with Skills Stores Applicants Assessors Groups (Redundancy programs, various projects) PM, SCM, Directors, BDO,s, Admin GEARS enrolments, assessment 2 forms, general enquiries/follow ups, session creation, Credit Transfers, Awards, and Resulting

GEARS Steps Skills Storeand GEARS are co-located Process starts at the Skills Stores An appointment will include • Skills Store consultant determine qualification & level, skills book, hand over to GEARS and • GEARS consult eligibility, enrolment form, portfolio, next step, costs GEARS steps • GEARS arranges Assessor • Assessor advises GEARS of units to enroll applicant in • Results entered on system GAP • Training may be required • Award issued (If Applicable)

  4. Community of Practice • Including • Training sessions for assessors • External training organised • Resource kits for assessors • RPL repository for Gordon staff • Moderations, validations sessions • Show and tell • Guest speakers

  5. What else happens at GEARS • General RPL advice GEARS process to staff and managers • Enquiries from potential applicants • Handling of applicants concerns Alternative processes • Specialised streamlining to suit group needs • tailoring process to suit individual needs
