  2. IB Math Studies OPTION 1 • Grade 9: Integrated Math 1 • Grade 10: Integrated Math 2 or Honors Geometry • Grade 11: Algebra II or Honors Algebra II • Grade 12: IB Math Studies

  3. IB Math Studies OPTION 2 • Grade 9: Integrated Math 2 or Honors Geometry • Grade 10: Algebra II or Honors Algebra II • Grade 11: IB Math Studies • Grade 12: College Algebra, Trig/Pre-Calc, or AP Stat

  4. IB Math SLOPTION 1 • Grade 9: Honors Geometry • Grade 10: Honors Algebra II • Grade 11: Trig/Pre-Calc* • Grade 12: IB Math SL* • *AP Stat may be taken concurrently in Grade 11 or Grade 12

  5. IB Math SLOPTION 2* • Grade 9: Honors Algebra II • Grade 10: Trig/Pre-Calc • Grade 11: IB Math SL • Grade 12: AP Calc (with permission) or AP Stat (encouraged but not required) • *Note: This option is not ideal, but may arise due to scheduling conflicts.

IB Math Studies Internal Assessments • Investigative Paper with Data Analysis • Develop personal insight into the nature of mathematics • Enable students to experience math as an integrated discipline rather than fragmented skills and knowledge • Enable students to see connections and applications of math to other areas of interest • Various stages completed throughout the year and submitted in March

IB SL and HL Internal Assessments • Portfolio Projects • Typically, 3 or 4 completed throughout the course, but only 2 submitted to IB • Type I is Extended Problem Solving • Guide students through investigating a mathematical problem and looking for patterns to make conclusions • Type II is Mathematical Modeling • Students explore a real-world application of mathematics through data analysis
