  4. Waste is just thrown away or even dug up, it may be around for decades, and could even release dangerous chemicals into the soil. These poisons can threaten the lives of the people. If toxic or poisons, liquid chemicals are poured into the water, it is possible to put large populations of people’s health at risk. Industrial enterprises and factories should use purifying systems in their activities. It will help our environment to stay safe for us.

  6. Water and air pollution is a very serious threat to our ecology. This is the result of human activities: releasing poisonous chemicals, car fumes, throwing litter, oil spills. Factories plant nearby are pouring its chemicals into the river. Polluted air and water affect people’s health. Planting trees would make Kostroma’s air clearer. Factories’ tubes should be equipped with special air - protecting filters. People should never throw garbage in water or wash their cars in the Volga.

  8. The kids are mainly responsible for dropping litter. They think that putting rubbish in litter bins would make them appear “soft” or “uncool”. The reasons for teenagers to drop litter: Firstly to look cool, secondly laziness, more than that peer pressure and finally a lack of waste bins. Also they are afraid of being laugh at their friends and they want to show of. It is sad to see our streets littered with old lottery tickets, cigarette packages, papers and wrappers of all kinds. We should learn to recycle or reduce waste, stop dropping litter or fine those who drop who throw it away to avoid serious problems. We should understand our personal responsibility, send letters, create a website to let everybody know.
