Great reasons for being a student at CCSF: • Community College students have the highest priority to transfer to a CSU or UC as a junior level student! • Transfer Admission Guarantees to 7 UC Campuses and 3 Private Universities! • Great place to take a variety of different classes to help you decide on a major!

  7. CCSF Transfer Curriculum • +1,800 CSU transferable classes • + 1,400 UC transferable classes • For a listing of CCSF classes that transfer to CSU or UC, visit www.assist.org

Minimum CSU Transfer Eligibility • 60 or more transferable semester units • 2.0 GPA for CA residents • 2.4 GPA for non-CA residents • 30 of the 39 units of General Education • A1 Oral Communication • A2 Written Communication • A3 Critical Thinking (waived for Engineering major) • B4 Quantitative Reasoning

Applying to CSU • Other Criteria being used by some CSU Campuses due to the CA budget crisis: • Priority will be given to applicants from CA community colleges who applied during the priority application period • And to students who attend CA community colleges in their local admission area (CACC is in county considered local to the university)

  20. FAQ • Can students use AP test scores to fulfill requirements? • Although it was a good idea for you to take AP courses in high school, using AP scores can be tricky. Please come in and speak with a counselor

True/False • I need at least 60 transferable units to be transfer ready. • True for CA public universities • Depends for CA private universities and out-of-state universities • I need to earn an AA/AS degree to be able to transfer. • False! • However, new AA-T or AS-T (psychology, communication studies) may be helpful

  22. Transfer Admission Guarantees • UC: Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz • Independents: Saint Mary’s College, Santa Clara University, University of the Pacific

UC Davis Transfer Admissions Guarantee When the online TAG form is submitted: • 30 UC transferable units • 3.2 – 3.3 UC GPA, depending upon major To be admitted: • Meet minimum UC eligibility requirements • For selective majors, completion of required major courses as listed on www.assist.org • UC Application & Personal Statement
