    2. College of Business Facts FAU has about 27,000 student enrollments, approximately 25% of those students (6,971) are enrolled in the College of Business. And 5,847 of those are Undergraduate Students Students are enrolled from 137 different countries and 47 states plus the District of Columbia Accounting, Management and Finance are all found in the top ten program enrollments Accounting department ranks top in the state and nation We are fully accredited by the AACSB, at all levels

    6. College of Business Curriculum General Education Requirements – Intellectual Foundations Program Pre-Professional Business Courses Business Core Required Major Courses College of Business Electives Minor Courses Some students will also need Free Electives

Curriculum Polices If you double major, you can double-dip between the two majors If you choose to receive a minor, the courses can be used as Business Electives but you cannot double-dip between the Major and Minor You must complete all requirements for the degree before graduation this includes: General Education Requirements Pre-Professional Business Courses Business Core Courses Major Courses Business Electives Minor Courses, if applicable

    8. Pre-Business Major All students are initially listed as PBUS (Pre-Business) and as such are restricted from Upper Division Business Courses You must complete all of your Pre-Professional courses ACG2021 ACG2071 ECO2013 ECO2023 ISM2000 MAC2233 STA2023 You must have an FAU GPA of 2.5 or higher You must complete an Application for Upper-Division and submit it to the College of Business Undergraduate Studies Office You must complete and submit an Undergraduate Change of Degree, Major, or Minor form that must be signed by an Academic Advisor to the Registrar Office

Pre-Business Major Until you complete all of these Admissions Requirements you can only register for: ENC3213 MAN3025 MAR3023 FIN3403 Any Upper-Division Economics HSA3111 RMI3011 HFT3003 REE3043 Check pre-requisites before registering for courses If you have completed 72 credits or more you will have to change your major to Economics until you complete the College of Business Admissions Requirements

    10. Transferring Courses Print a copy of the course description Most College Catalogs can be found at www.collegesource.org Complete The Course Equivalent Substitution Petition Await a response from the College of Business It usually takes 7-10 business days to receive a response

Transient Student Options Complete and submit a Transient Student Form to College of Business Academic Advisor or submit an online version of the Transient Student Form Go to Financial Aid Office to confirm funding options and complete any necessary paperwork Transfer credits are not calculated into your FAU GPA

    12. Difficult Courses High level of difficulty ACG2021 and ACG2071 ECO2013 and ECO2023 QMB3600 MAN3506 FIN3403 ECO4223 Courses that traditionally have a heavier workload: MAR4803 MAN4720

    13. Supplemental Instruction and Tutoring Supplemental Instruction is offered for MAC2233, STA2023, ACG2021, and ACG2071 For more information call the CLASS Office at 561-297-0906 Tutoring is available for many courses and you can find tutors by going to the College of Business Website

    14. SPOT Reports Student Perception of Teaching (SPOT) Reports Each term, students evaluate their instructors using the Student Perception of Teaching (SPOT) survey. The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Analysis produces the aggregate reports you see here by campus, college and department, class level and size. The aggregate reports may be useful for gauging how student perceptions vary over time, or across disciplines and levels. Faculty may use these reports to compare results in their classes with others of the same level, size and discipline. http://iea.fau.edu/reports/spot.aspx or search SPOT on the FAU website You can search by individual professor or course They are available through Fall 2007

GPA Calculator www.business.fau.edu, Undergraduate Studies, Resource Links, GPA Calculator See how Grade Forgiveness will change your GPA Grade Forgiveness can only be used twice throughout your academic career at FAU You can only use Grade Forgiveness on courses you originally completed at FAU and then retake at FAU Grade Forgiveness cannot be used after Graduation Determine minimum grade you need or can get depending on the GPA you want to achieve

    18. Internships Visit the College of Business Career Resource Center You can get paid or get credit depending on the internship Must be Junior Standing, have a GPA of 2.5 or Higher, and have a College of Business upper-division courses GPA of 2.75 or higher You cannot use a present employer or apply for credit after you have worked someplace Most are used for Upper Division Business Elective credit but some may apply to your Major or Minor

    19. Study Abroad Three Types Pay Local Tuition, and take a course in another country 1. Field Experiences – 1-2 weeks long 3. Semester Abroad - (Summer/Fall/Spring) 4. Academic year Abroad - (Summer, Fall, and Spring) FAU Affiliations: BRAZIL, FRANCE, GERMANY, IRELAND, PORTUGAL, and SWEDEN

    23. Graduation Approximately 1,500 students graduated from the College of Business this year. 240 Accounting Majors 233 General Management Majors 190 Finance Majors 190 General Marketing Majors

    24. Graduation You should request a Graduation Audit the semester before your graduating semester Ensure that you are registered for all outstanding courses on your Graduation Audit Complete and submit the Application for Degree by the deadline (usually the first 3 weeks of your graduating semester)

    25. Graduate School All requirements should be complete one semester before your graduating semester FAU reviews the GPA of your last 60 semester hours Requirements depend upon the school and program you are applying to
