  3. The Little Rock Nine were a group of African-American students enrolled in Little Rock Central High School in 1957.

  4. Students were prevented from entering the school by order of the governor.

  5. Elizabeth Eckford • “He raised his bayonet, and then the other guards moved in and raised their bayonets.”

  6. President Eisenhower stepped in to forcibly desegregate the school
