  2. What's in the Box The following components are included in your router package: USRobotics V.Everything 56K Analog Corporate Modem Cisco 2801 Router Router power cable Modem power cable T1 Serial Converter RJ48 cable(s) RJ11 cable Console Cable RJ45 T1 Loopback Plug

  3. Understanding your router Cisco 2801

  4. Step 1 • Secure modem on top of router

  5. Step 2 • Plug in power cord to router • Plug in power cord to modem

  6. Step 3 • Connect telephone line from modem to wall jack • Connect console cable to upper, blue-edged console port in router

  7. Step 4 • Connect the T1 cable (from the Smart Jack) to T1 WAN Interface card • Connect serial connector of console cable to brown converter, and connect converter to modem

  8. Step 5 • For connection, plug Ethernet cable into FE 0/0 port on back of router • Other end of Ethernet cable can be plugged into server, computer, private network, etc.

  9. Step 6 • Loopback plug (used during troubleshooting if necessary)
