  2. INDEX • THE SOLAR SYSTEM • LIFE CYCLE OF THE STARS • INSIDE THE SUN • MEASURING OF THE STARS • BLACK HOLE • LIFE OF STARS • THE MILKY WAY

  3. The Solar System • The solar system is dominated by the sun , our local star . • The four planets closest to the sun armercury, venus. The earth and mars they are small rocky world. • But it is the sun witch dwarfs every thing else in the solar system. • About five billions years ago, the material that now makes the sun and planets was a grate cloud of gas and dast called the solar nebula. • The material was composited of a mixture of light elements, mostly by drogue and helium that had been left over from the formation of our milky way galaxy.

  4. LIFE CYCLE OF THE STARS • Like people , stars are born, live their lives , grow old and die. Unlike people there lives are measured in billions of years-too long for us to see them age. A star begins its life as a shrinking clump of gas and dust called a protostar.

  5. INSIDE THE SUN • Ourneareststar , thesun ,is a hugeglobe of hot gas .Itis 109 times thediameter of theearth and has a mass 745 times greaterthanthat of alltheplanets in the solar systemputtogether .Withouttheconstantwarningrays of thesuntherewould be nowlifeonearth

  6. MEASURING OF THE STARS ME As we cannot yet travel outside the solar system we have to learn as much as we can about the stars by studin them at a distance.Astronomers can tell the britness ,colour ,and temperature of a star by analizing the light that gives out. What the stars are made of and how fast there are moving.

  7. BLACK HOLE While some dying stars turn into superdenseneutro stars, others collapse even further. In a star that is more than three time the suns mass ,gravity violenty crushes matter inwars. It continues to collapse before dissappering into a icredible dense but dimensionles point called a singularity. A black hole is the space around a singulary and nothing that falls in can ever go fat enough to scape not even light.

  8. Light from stars Stars are stars just bolles of gas at the admophera burning, ½ of the stars you can see in the sky are burnt out all ready, its just that there so far away from the earth you can stil see the light coming off of them.

  9. TheMilkyWay • We haveseenhow ideas havechanged from the ancientnotion of ourEarth and the center of the universe to onewhere the sun rules the planets. Today weknowthat the sun isjustoneamountabouttwobillionstarscity of ourgalaxy , the milkyway. This spiralgalaxyis lie a disc with a bulge in the middle , (a bit like twoeggs , back to back).

  10. Questions • Whodominates the solar system? • Howitiscalledwhen a starisjust a shrinkinclump of gas? • Howmuchitmeasures the diameter of the earth? • Howmany times graterall the planetsalltogether in the solar systemputtogetheris the mass of the sun? • If you loose a thing in a blackhole you can getit ,yes or no?

  11. THE END • We hope you likeit as wedid
