  1. The Little Birdies and The Two Moons Written and Illustrated By: Brittny Oliver

  2. In the big oak tree near the big black hill, there lived two little birdies and their mothers. The two birdies were best friends. They played together all the time.

  3. One night as the two birdies were sitting on the big tree limb of the big oak tree, they saw the most amazing thing either one of them had ever seen before. They could not believe their eyes! “Is that what I think it is?”, one of the little birdies said. Of course, said the other birdie, that was two moons flying down the big black hill!”

  4. The two birdies thought the moons were the best thing either of them had ever seen. One little birdie even thought that if they could catch the two moons that they could use them to play all night. That a way they would never have to go to bed. We can try to catch the moons! Yeah, we could play all the time!

  5. At that time their mothers came up to tell the birdies it was time to go to bed. But, when they arrived they noticed the two birdies were very excited about something.

  6. They asked the birdie friends why they were so excited. One birdie said Mother, “two moons just whizzed by us.” The other birdie said, “and we are going to catch them so we can play all day and all night.” Why are you two so excited? We Just saw Two Moons!!

  7. The mothers looked at each other and said, “No Way! You two are not going to catch those moons. Do you know how dangerous that is? You could get really HURT! We do not want to here of this again.” NO WAY!!.... You two will not go after the two moons. You could get really HURT!

  8. But, like most little kids, the birdies did not listen to their mothers. Each night for a week the birdies waited to see the two moons

  9. And each night, the mothers would tell them that it was not a good idea, and that they could get really hurt! But, of course the birdies did not listen to their mothers. This is not a good idea It’s going to be OK!

  10. One night the birdies decided that tonight would be the night that they finally caught the two moons. So they waited for the two moons to come over the big black hill.

  11. Finally the moons came over the hill!! Both of the little birdies flew out at the moons . Just as they almost had the moons….

  12. Bam!!

  13. The two moons hit the birdies!! But they were OK! They were just really scared, and they wanted their mothers. WE WANT OUR MOMMIES !

  14. When the mothers arrived, the birdies told them that they had tried to catch the two moons. Both of the mothers were very angry because the birdies did not listen to them. The mothers were also glad that they were OK! We tried to catch the two moons, and they were really scary!

  15. The birdies apologized to their mothers, and said they would never do anything like that again. Both of the mothers looked at each other and smiled… We are so sorry for going after the moons, even though you told us not to!

  16. and said, “We sure hope so because next time the car might run over you!”

  17. THE END!
