  2. Angles Complementary angles: Two angles whose measures have a sum of 90 degrees. Supplementary Angles: Two angles whose measures have a sum of 180 degrees.

  3. Special Pairs of Angles Corresponding angles: angles that occupy corresponding positions when a line intersects two other lines. adjacent angles: two angles that share a common side and vertex and do not overlap.

  4. Triangles • Scalene triangle: A triangle with no congruent sides. • Congruent sides: sides that have the same length.

  5. Polygons • Parallelogram: a quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides. • Quadrilateral: A geometric figure made up of four line segments, called sides, that intersect only at their endpoints; a polygon with four sides.
