  7. Effect of Additional non-Honors Credits on High GPA’s Among the more than 2000 students who graduate from Shawnee Mission each year, only a few finish with a GPA at or above 4.86. These few are the only students whose final GPA would have been slightly lower had they earned additional non-honors credits.

  13. Summary • In general, additional ‘A’ credits help grade point • For students with GPA over 4.86, additional ‘A’ credits may lower GPA. However, these cases are rare. • Once a credit is earned, it may not be removed from the transcript.
