  20. FAQ’s How is growth for 3rd grader determined? They receive an estimate based on their school membership and on statewide scores of all 3rd graders. How are kids in the bottom quartile (Q1) determined? If student has 3 years of test scores, their quartile membership is determined from year 1 If student has 2 years of test scores, their quartile membership is determined from the prior year If they are third graders or new to PED school, then membership comes from the current year
