How: *Brainstorm ideas in existing groups (focus groups need to function by Fri.) *Current requirements include: • 3 themed simultaneous power points (approx. 15 mins. each) to be looped *Political *Hither and Yon *Social * *Athletics * • Creation of a formal invitation • Delivery of invitations to dignitaries, retirees, media • Research, gather, assemble, select, synthesize, apply skills, create!! (BBT lab available, stock photos, video, sound bites available) (other primary and secondary documents? Historical thinking?) • Weekly group briefing on progress (Fridays) • Assessment a) informal: 5% (may include mandatory attendance on May 7) b) formal: 5% using reflection paper *As with the assembly group (semester 1) there will be a pot luck during class soon after project is complete *All regular work continues on schedule with any loss in instruction time added to the homework requirement (readings, PBL, tutorial, final essay, assignments)

  21. Observations about Night essays + Writing style evolving Paying attention to rubric Examples from text Running comparisons - “history repeats itself” and other cliches are overused. I consider them filler. Avoid using first names- these people aren’t close friends Avoid repetition unless using it for particular emphasis
