Born: march 14, 1879 • born at Ulm, in Württemberg, Germany • Six weeks later the family moved to Munich, where he later began his schooling at the Luitpold Gymnasium. • Later, they moved to Italy and he continued his education at Aarau, Switzerland and in 1896 he entered the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich to be trained as a teacher in physics and mathematics

In 1905 he obtained his doctor's degree. • After World War II, Einstein was a leading figure in the World Government Movement, he was offered the Presidency of the State of Israel, which he declined, and he collaborated with Dr. Chaim Weizmann in establishing the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

  9. He didn’t start talking till he was 2 years old • when he was older he had trouble answering a question. He would first silently mouth the words to himself and then slowly answer out loud. His teachers thought he would never be successful at anything.

  10. First wife • 1st Wife: MilevaMaricEinstein • 3 kids: daughter Lieserl and two sons, Eduard and Hans Albert • Married for 16 years • Marriage ended in 1919.

  11. Second wife • Elsa, she was his first cousin • She had two daughters from a previous marriage. She and Albert had grown up together when they were children. • They were married 17 years when she died • Died in 1936.

  12. His health began to fail and he died at the age of 76 on April 18, 1955 at Princeton, New Jersey. He spent his life working to find a balance between science and spirituality. He once said at a Symposium*, "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."

  13. Before his death, Einstein's brain was removed for preservation in hopes of discovering what made him so intelligent.
