  4. LARSS Program Partners The Langley Aerospace Research Summer Scholars (LARSS) Program is managed for NASA by the Virginia Space Grant Consortium under the auspices of the National Institute of Aerospace.

LARSS Program Goals • Encourage high caliber college students to pursue and earn graduate degrees • Enhance their interest in aerospace research by exposing them to the professional research resources and facilities of LaRC • Continue to feed the NASA pipeline and the Nation’s STEM skills base with highly qualified undergraduate and graduate students

  7. LARSS Program Description • Internship Opportunities • ~120+ Summer research positions • Internship stipend: Undergraduate: $4,500 Graduate: $5,000 • 10-week work period • Program also has academic year opportunities

LARSS Program Activities • Research Project • Picnic • Lecture Series • Tours • Graduate Seminar • Poster Session • Banquet • Networking Lesa Roe, LaRC Center Director, and Dr. Robert “Bobby” Braun, 1986 LARSS Alumni, NASA LaRC MARS Rover Team Member, and current Professor at Georgia Tech. Both were speakers at the 2006 LARSS Banquet and Recognition Ceremony.
