Public School Volunteer Week Celebrating school volunteers for their role in making  school programs a success.  Volunteers play an important role in schools, from donating time to assisting with classroom and school activities, they help in smooth functioning of the schools. Public School Volunteer Week is celebrated in the month of April to honor and recognize the commitment and efforts by the school volunteers. At Killeen ISD, besides moms and dads, grandparents, community organization members, and students also volunteer to assist with various school programs. Volunteering helps in bringing variety of skills to school More than 23,000 hours volunteered at Killeen ISD this year 1,699 hours volunteered at Timber Ridge Elementary School 1,800 hours volunteered at Ellison High School 3,153 hours volunteered at Patterson Middle School www.killeenisd.org 200 N.
