  2. A storm was coming. How did the child feel? BRAVE! Scared!

  3. Yes! She was REALLY scared! What did she do? She hid under the bed. She ran outside.

  4. OOPS!!! This child was not very brave at all. Try again!

  5. Outside??? With the thunder? NO WAY!!! She was too scared for that! Try again!

  6. Yes! She was so scared that she hid under the bed! What did her Babushka suggest that they do? Make a cake. Eat some cake.

  7. OOPS! There wasn’t any cake to eat yet! Try again!

  8. Yes! They decided to make a cake! Thunder Cake! Next

  9. But first… They had to gather some ingredients. What did they get first? eggs milk

  10. Milk? Not yet! The child gathered something from old Nellie Peck Hen first! Try again!

  11. Yes! The child gathered eggs first. Then, Grandma milked the cow. What did they gather next? Tomatoes from the trellis Chocolate, flour, and sugar from the dry shed

  12. Oops! They gathered something else first. Try again!

  13. You’re right! The child and her grandmother gathered ingredients from the dry shed! How did the child feel about having to walk through Tangleweed Woods to get to the dry shed? SCARED! She didn’t mind.

  15. She sure was! Finally, all of the ingredients were gathered, so the child and her Grandma made Thunder Cake. While the cake was baking, what did the child come to realize? Her Grandma was mean for making her gather ingredients in the thunder. She had been brave.

  17. You’re right! The child had been brave all along! Great Job! ☺
