  5. Key Dates • 1 March to 31 May 2012 – submission of bids • 15 April 2012 – first project starts • 30 September 2012 – small project completion • 30 June 2013 - large projects completed 5

  8. Who is the focus? Detail of rationale will need to increase as the focus moves from left to right, bids will need to show very clearly how their proposal will improve the learner experience and contribute to improved efficiency and effectiveness.

  9. Documents required for bid • Bid Form – Appendix A of the Call document • Risk Analysis – example on Project wiki • Freedom of Information form • Costing form – on Project wiki • Letter of support from senior manager 9

  10. Completing the bid form – Appendix A This will be the address of the lead provider and project manager Include resources from other agencies, where it is intended to use them. It will be helpful to know if there are any implications arising from the project that impinge on the other categories Without a description of the problems, it is difficult to know how effective the proposal is likely to be so be specific. A list of key project activities can be submitted here – just a list not detailed descriptions. Describe the planned outcomes of the project and how; You will; disseminate the findings and the modified resources; the role the chosen resources will play in the project; the providers/provision for which the outputs are designed; and the intended benefits to learners and organisations 10

  11. Costing Combined work plan and costing (for smaller project) This is an example and the costings are nominal, it is designed to illustrate, for smaller projects, how they might set out their costs against the key activities in their work plan. 11
