  2. A-ambassador Ambassador is what all the teachers at Ivy June’s school called her for being a part of the exchange program.

  3. B- Bunker Academy Bunker Academy was Catherine’s all girls school in Lexington.

  4. C- Catherine Catherine is a main character and a part of the exchange program.

  5. D- Dessert A dessert was the very first thing the Comb’s bought Ivy June when she got to Lexington.

  6. E- Envelope Ivy June’s favorite teacher handed Ivy an envelope with money inside for her journey to Lexington.

  7. F- Flora Flora was the Comb’s house maid with Catherine’s mother was sick.

  8. G- Grand Mommy Grand mommy is Ivy June’s 100 year old great grandmother.

  9. H- Hope Hope was the one wish Ivy June asked for to get her threw her odd trip to Lexington.

  10. I- Ivy June Ivy June is the main character of the book and she is the one who makes the book interesting.

  11. J- Journal Both Catherine and Ivy June had to keep all of their thoughts in a journal of their time together.

  12. K- Kentucky Kentucky is where both of the girls lived during the time of the book.

  13. L- Lexington Catherine’s home town is in Lexington, Kentucky.

  14. M- Money Money was the main issue Ivy June had to move out of her mother’s house and live with her grand parents, they didn’t have money to pay the bills.

  15. N- Nachos Nachos were the first food Ivy June and Catherine tried in their short time together.

  16. O- Option The Comb’s let Ivy June have the option on everything they did.

  17. P- Papaw Papaw is Ivy June’s inspiration and the reason she wanted to live with him.

  18. Q- Quilt Mamaw taught Ivy June to quilt at a very young age, and Ivy June still has a quilt her mamaw made for her when she was a baby.

  19. R- Rosemary Catherine’s very mean grandmother that nobody really liked.

  20. S- Stone The stone papaw gave Ivy June from the mine that she took everywhere for good luck.

  21. T- Thunder Creek Ivy June’s hometown and where half of the book takes place

  22. U- Uniform The girls at Catherine’s school had to wear uniforms so everyone felt equal to one another

  23. V- V-neck Rosemary only wore V-Necks because she thought that made her better than the rest.

  24. W- Wagon Howard(Ivy June’s brother) pulled a wagon up the hill everyday from the bus stop.

  26. Y- Yellow Yellow was the only color Ivy June and Catherine like to paint and color with. They thought it made everything brighter.

  27. Z- Zingers Zingers are what the girls always ate as an after-school snack.
