Berths terminals

Berths&Terminals

Currently the coordinationbetween the terminalsand the inland vessels is not optimal

Congestionsituations and long waiting times are common in many ports

RISINGdevelops solutions to

  • optimize the communication between terminals and barge operators

  • enable an ETA prediction or ETA announcement(barge operator → terminal)

  • provide RTA feedback (terminal → barge operator)

Transport planning

Transport Planning

IWT offers great potential which today is not entirely harnessed

Improving efficiencyin IWT requires intelligent Voyage Planning

RISINGwill offer

  • an online pre-planning tool for exploring IWT as a transport alternative

  • an online voyage planning tool to determine the optimal vessel, route, speed and draft

  • an on-board module to support the skipper

Transp monitoring

Transp. Monitoring

IWT has become an integral part of the intermodal transport chains. As such it has to comply with requirements of supply chain management.

RISING will aid monitoringof ongoing transports by

  • Providing tailor-made services for transport operators

  • providing a harmonized set of event services for all RIS transport and terminal related information

  • providing a harmonized subscription mechanism for these events facilitating the easy integration into ERP systems
