  5. Teacher and Learner • Cultural competency • -Teacher pre service/post service • Principals • Bureaucrats • Value the learner • Language • relationship between teacher/student

  6. Community Engagement • Engage locally • -early childhood education programs • -health and education compacts 0-8 aged children • Advise nationally • -listen to Indigenous educators • -establish a National Indigenous Teaching/Learning Council

  7. Can we close the gap? • Yes we can!
