  1. Me as a leader Block 3

  2. About Me I am 18 years old, I have an older brother and a younger brother, I also work as a waitress at Rams Horn and I plan to go to college to pursue my career in child care or becoming a medical assistant. Choosing one of these careers to go into has a been a tough choice, considering that I love to work with children, and I have always been interested in the medical field ever since my mom went to school for it when I was young

  3. who prepared me for leadership? One of the many people who has influenced my leadership is my mom, Stephanie Saviko. My mom has been a big part of my life, she has always told me to be strong and she always encouraged me to do my best in life and strive for what I want and never give up on my dreams. My mom is the person to never give up on anything, even through her cancer struggles, and I plan to never stop when times get tough.

  4. Who prepares me for leadership? Another person who makes me a better leader is my little brother, Owen. For when I watch my little brother, it is my responsibility to make sure he is safe, and staying out of trouble. Owen has helped me learn on what young children’s needs are. It is also my duty to be a good leader and role model for the kids if I decide to go into child care.

  5. Who prepares me for leadership? • Another person who has helped me with my leadership is my neighbor, Lori. I have known Lori since I was 4 years old and has been a big help in my life and my families. She would always babysit, cook, and help out my mom when she would have to work, and when she got sick. Lori is my like my second mom to me and has always made time for us when we needed it and her kindness has helped me with being a better leader.

  6. What has prepared me for leadership? One of the things that has prepared me for leadership is having a job as a waitress. While having this job I have been able to be a better leader with people, I can communicate and talk better with people on different topics. Also, training  people at my job, has help a lot with giving people direction on how to do the job correctly and make the customers happy.

  7. Leadership position The leadership position I see myself in, is somewhere in child care. Even though I also want to be a medical assistant, I see myself more in child care. I can see myself working in a pre-school, or at a pediatrician’s office. However, wanting to work in the NICU (which is where the premature and sick new born babies go) seems like it would more interesting to do. Working with kids seems like it would be a challenge, since they are more of a handful and need extra attention in caregiving to make sure they are healthy, but it would be worth it.

  8. Better preparing myself for leadership To better prepare for myself for the career I want, if I decide to go into child care l would want to start babysitting more kids from different age groups to learn the different needs kids have and wants they have. If I was to choose to go into being a medical assistant I would start doing job shadows at some of the local doctor office’s near me to get a feel of the job the medical assistant actually has.

  9. Strengths as a leader Some of my strengths I have is being a quick learner. Whenever I am thrown a new difficult task to learn, I am able to pick it up and understand how to do it in one or two hours and be able to remember how to do without anyone telling me how to do it a second time. So having this strength really helps when working with kids and also helps with being a medical assistant.

  10. Strengths as a leader • Another one of my strengths as a leader is having the ability to be focus is difficult situations. Whether it’s doing homework or caring for someone my focus is on that situation and I don’t stop until it has been completed.

  11. Strengths as a leader Another one of my strengths as a leader is having the ability to communicate with people very well. Building relationships with people has always been an easy thing for me to do since I have to talk to a lot of different people with many different needs all day for my job I work at now. Having this strength really helps with communicating with kids and with patients at a doctors office

  12. My weakness as a leader One of my weakness’ is being in control. Once I get put in a situation where I have to be the leader, I become controlling about everything. Some of the ways I choose to fix this is by letting others take some of the leadership roles I have to take on and help guide them into becoming a better leader too.

  13. My high school career has defiantly help me for choosing some of the career’s that I find interesting to me and it has helped me for the college that I want to attend for the career. Everything that I have learned throughout high school will help me decide between choosing to work in the medical field as a medical assistant or work in child care.

  14. My last impression! • Choosing the career I want to go into has been the most difficult decision I have had to make. I am hoping that by the time school starts for college I will be able to know what I want to do with my life and the career I would love to have in either the medical field or working with children. Either one I choose I know I will have great support from my friends and family.
