  4. Objectives: • Identify the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables. • Increase your fruit and vegetable intake. • Identify the causes and consequences of obesity. • Discuss the role of physical activity in a healthy lifestyle.

  9. Physical activity is a benefit whenever you start… at any age, at any time.

  10. How Much Do I Need? Adults need: • 30 minutes at a moderate intensity for health benefits. • 60-90 minutes a day if you have weight loss goals. Children and teens need: • At least 60 minutes every day. Discuss your health concerns with a physician before starting an exercise program.

  14. Objectives: • Discuss the relationship between a high fat intake and chronic conditions and diseases. • Review foods that are low in fat versus those that are high in fat. • Discuss ways to prepare foods with a lower fat content, including modifying your favorite recipes.
