BCPSS SUMMER ROBOTICS • CHALLENGE 2 • MATCH LOADS • Date: July 13, 2012 • Objective: • Score as many sacks on the troughs and high goals as possible. • Field: • Standard 12’x12’ VEX competition field • Sack attack goals and troughs are installed • All sacks are taken off the field and used as match loads • Rules: • 1. Teams are given one minute to play. • 2. Robot cannot exceed 18 inches (length, width or height) at the start of the game. • 3. Sacks can be preloaded on the robots before the start of the game. • 4. Sacks can be scored only on the troughs or high goals that are of the same color as the robot’s starting tile. • 5. Only one sack can be preloaded on the robot before the start of the game. • 6. When the game starts, multiple match load sacks can only be loaded if the robot is touching its colored tiles. • 7. Sacks on the troughs get 1 point each and sacks on the high goals get 3 points each. • Robot Expectations: • Working arm, lift or scoring mechanism. • Robot size is checked.
