  2. Listening and speaking are two core parameters to check how good a candidate’s command over the English language. Both these sections and scores are critical to determine the overall IELTS scores. Whether you are writing the General or Academic version, for work or education, you need to score high in Listening and Speaking sections. If you are preparing for the IELTS Listening and Speaking sections

Listening Section • IELTS Listening section lasts about half an hour (30 minutes) with a maximum of 40 marks. • Students need to answer questions to this section with utmost care, as the test taker will check how the candidate’s accent is good and would have tried to understand what information is provided.

  4. Tips to Clear Listening Section • Read instructions carefully • Pay attention to strategic words • Know the English language sounds

  5. Speaking Section • IELTS Speaking section generally have 3 sub-sections. • Candidates will be tested by an examiner which can last anywhere between 11-14 minutes. • The IELTS Speaking test is usually a session which is conducted by an examiner with one test taker at one time.
