Today’s Agenda: • Mention homework and return quiz. • Reminder: “Shakespearience” --Weds, 6:30-8pm, Ag 124. • Finish highlights from PL Book 9. • Note how the political shifts of 1660-1700 mirror shifts in Dryden’s life. • Go over highlights of Dryden’s satiricmock heroic “Mac Flecknoe.” Presentations: • Kristina Porter: AphraBehn’s biography (2178-80) • Jessica Montoya: Brief summary & points of interest—Oroonoko (2183-2209)

  2. Homework: • Read AphraBehn’sOroonoko pp. 2210-2226 (to the end). • Quiz next class: It will be on these seven pages from our text: 2058-59, 2083-84, 2111, 2178-80. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • See the “Information on the Final” posted on our class website. • Our final is at 10am on Wednesday, December 15th. • It will be set up like the midterm—with three parts: ID, short answer, and the essay section (but you will have 120 rather than 85 minutes). • The exam will be closed book. • Bring a large greenbook. • Journals from weeks 9-15 are also due in class on Weds, Dec 15.
