  2. What isa 21st century learner a 21st century learner is someone that uses Multiple intelligences, Habits of the mind, The UN rights of a child, The 5c’s and the School Values (Trust, Forgiveness,Care & respect). 21st century learners use lots of various tools like technology (the main tool)

  4. Persisting Persisting is when you: Stick to a task and not give up, keep going until you're finished or remain focused on the task e.g. a man is climbing a mountain and is getting tired, if he showed persistence he would keep going up the hill and try to reach the top.

  5. ManagingImpulsivity Managing Impulsivity is when you think before you do something or take time to consider all options e.g. If your driving car and someone cuts in front of you instead of yelling at them calm yourself down and try and forget about it (Manage your Impulsivity)

  6. Listening with understanding and empathy Listening with understanding and empathy is when you put yourself in others shoes and not rejecting others ideas e.g. If your friend is working on a project with you and they say something that you don't quite understand, try and help them to say their idea in an easy way or try and understand it as if you're in their position of thinking.

  7. ThinkingFlexibly Thinking flexibly is when you come up with multiple alternatives and being able to include others ideas in a fair way e.g. you're making a document for homework and you're stuck, so you try and look at it from a different perspective and try and come up with lots of different alternatives.

  8. ThinkingAboutThinking Thinking about thinking is when you be aware of what you're thinking about and considering that your choices may affect others or yourself e.g. your doing a test and you are aware of your thoughts.

StrivingForAccuracy Striving for accuracy is when you try and get everything correct or precise, check for errors or doing the best you can to be correct on what you’re trying to say. e.g.you’re answering a question but you're not sure if the answer youve put down is correct so you you check it from three different ways so you know you're right.

  10. QuestioningAndPosingProblems Questioning and posing problems is when you ask a question about something and ask yourself “how do I know”e.g. Genius hour

  11. ApplyingPastKnowledge toNew Situations Learn from your past knowledge to new situations e.g. You have been learning how to solve algebra and it comes up in a test so you use your knowledge of working it out.

  12. ThinkingAndcommunicating withclarityandprecision Knowing what you’re thinking and communicating with accuracy e.g. A boy is talking to the teacher with a clear voice and he knows what he is talking about.

  13. Gathering datathroughallsenses Using your senses (listen, feel, see, smell and taste ) to gather information e.g. A boy walks into a classroom and used his nose smells a rose on a table, looking at the colour of the rose, feeling the shape of it and tasting it (not recommended)

  14. Creating,Imagining ,Innovating Doing something differently from how you normally would do it e.g. A girl walks in the room and puts her bag on the hook then her drink bottle on the table.The next day she walks in and put her drink bottle on the table and her bag on the hook.

  15. RespondingwithWondermentandawe responding with your heart, believe or something that you are passionate about e.g. A teacher asks Jack what 10x34 is Jack answers 340 passionately because he likes maths.

  16. TakingResponsiblerisks to try new and different things e.g. on a wednesday A boy orders curry at school. The next day he orders pizza that he his never had.

  17. FindingHumour laughing at funny things or self e.g. telling a joke to your friend

  18. ThinkingIndependently willing to work with people and inputting in the work and learning from people e.g. Bob,Jack ,Mac and Mel love to go to school and do work.. They each do 25% together and they learn from each other.

  19. Remaining opentocontinuouslearning admitting that you don't know the answer e.g. Jayden goes home from school and he learns at home that 162+325=487 from his Dad.

  21. Kinaesthetic-BodySmart Body Kinaesthetic means the ability of someone to control their own bodies in motion to use objects skilfully. e.g The ability to sense action with reflexes so they have good awareness to not trip over.

  22. Linguistics-wordsmart Linguistics is a scientific study of language. There are three aspects to the study, language form, language meaning and language context. e.g someone who can speak several languages fluently and is good at using words.

  23. Intrapersonal-myselfsmart Intrapersonal is where you speak to yourself and worry about what’s happening with yourself rather than others as much. Also Knowing what your weaknesses and strengths are e.g You speak aloud to yourself. It helps you concentrate on your own work if you could be smart enough to stay on task.

  24. Interpersonal-socialsmart Interpersonal skills are skills that people use to interact with each other. The basic skills are speaking, listening, following direction and attitude. These skills are usually in conjunction with personal character traits. .

  25. Musical-musicsmart Learners who enjoy using a musical multiple intelligence ens demonstrate sensitivity to sounds, rhythms, tones, and music. They would often use songs and rhythms to memorize information.

  26. Naturalistic-naturesmart Individuals who know about this intelligence typically are interested in growing plants and/or taking care of animals. e.g Zoo keepers, gardeners, vets.

  27. VisualSpatial-picturesmart Visual- spatial intelligence is more effective to solve problems related to realistic, investigative occupations. This is a brain skill for visual impairment people.

  28. Logicalsmart-Mathssmart Logical smart are people who are confident in mathematical intelligence. They are good with reasoning, recognizing, patterns and analyze problems.
