NSLDS Workgroup Purpose The NSLDS Subcommittee works closely with the Department of Educations’ Federal Student Aid office on the maintenance and improvement of the reporting of data to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). NSLDS is used by ED to support a number of enterprise functions that are critical to the oversight and operations of the Federal Family Educational Loan Program. The subcommittee serves as a clearinghouse for information and coordinates the development of enhancements to the reporting between guaranty agencies, lenders/servicers, secondary markets and ED. While there is a workgroup that meets directly with ED on a quarterly basis, the subcommittee has community calls open to NCHELP members to help ensure there is the opportunity for input and participation by all trading partners.
