  20. ENVIRONMENTALBIOTECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT BioFARMA Consortium, formed in April 2007 by the Silesian University of Technology, Center of Oncology - Institute im. Maria Sklodowska-Curie Branch in Gliwice, Silesian Medical University (then the Silesian Medical Academy) and the University of Silesia. The Consortium BIO-FARMA was founded with a view to obtaining financial resources for implementing joint investment projects, research and development activities of modern technology. ebd-20

TheBIO-FARMA Project • The main objective of the project is to increase the competitiveness of the members of the consortium BIO-FARM in the area of biotechnology, bioengineering and bioinformatics, through the achievement of specific objectives, such as: • increase the share of funds for the purchase of research equipment-related environmental measures in the total amount for the purchase of equipment R & D • Increase the number of research, development and targeted projects • Increase the number of internatioonal projects • Increase the number of research units benefiting from the scientific infrastructure of the consortium • increase the number of people who have undergone specialized training • increasing number of researchers with access to modern infrastructure • increasing the number of students having access to modern infrastructure ebd-21
