Definition • BTC is organization established at regional level which create collaboration among business players, technology providers and government • BTC make identification local economic potentials, diffusion and technology transfer as well as commercialization of research • BTC can help SMEs in acquaring and mastering the technology to help them to produce better qualified product, higher productivity, more innovation and stronger competitiveness

Local BTC • In 2003 as first project, Ristek (Indonesia) and BMBF (Germany) aggred to established BTC at 3 regions, they are Batam (Riau Islands) , Jakarta and Yogyakarta. • In 2005, establishment of BTC in Surabaya (East Java), Bandung (West Java) and Makasar (South Sulawesi) • In 2006, establishment of BTC in Salatiga (Mid Java) • In 2007, establishment of BTC in Jababeka, West Java • In 2008, initiation of BTC in Kendari (Sout East Sulawesi)
