  1. for the presentations on the sixths conference “My Educational Perspectives” 10th pre-IB, 11&12IBDP students 2013 The TASK

  2. The AIMs of the ACTIVITY are To help you to understand the basis of your choice To speed up the process of your self-determination To share the information within the IBDP community

  3. AIMs of YOUR PRESENTATIONSare to demonstrate How well you are informed of the educational possibilities foreign universities suggest you How well-grounded and deliberateyour way to build the educational trajectory is The level of your self-determination in the sphere of your professional development

  4. The GOALS of your presentationare to make the audience know Why did you choose this or that direction, university.. Your logic, how you understand your educational plan All the information required (see below) about your choice

  5. About the content Presentations should include the following information:

  6. Tell the audience about your educational future А (personal aspect): Sphere of your professional interest (explain, why you find it interesting, what do you like in it?) Name1-3universities, strong side of which corresponds to your educational preferences Find out the list of therequirements the universities (faculties) set for IB candidates

  7. What should you do? to enter one of the universities you like: Whatexams to pass (explain about each university and faculty), what is thelowest passing score (for IB candidates), What subjects and on what level you need to study in 11-12 IBDP, in order to meet the requirements

  8. Final recommendations Try to make your presentation simple, short (avoid long sentences) and clear (use familiar vocabulary) Think of what to put on a slide and what to say orally (you know, it’s rather stupid when smb puts a huge text and starts reading it from the beginning to the very end, despite the audience is not blind) Ask your classmate, friend or parent to listen and to watch your presentation, ask him or her for advice – what to improve, to change, to shorten. Don’t worry – be happy! Use planning techniques, e.g. Draw a logic of your presentation on a big sheet of paper first, or create an empty draft of your presentation file with headlines only and then develop it slide by slide.

  9. FORMAL REQIUREMENTS Not more than 5 slides filePowerPoint (*.ppt) Oral presentation not longer than 7 minutes The DEADLINE to bring or send your files to your tutoris January, 25th2013
