Depending on the person splitting the marriage, different feeling may happen. If one wants to end the marriage, felling of abandonment / humiliation in the one being dumped, and feelings of guilt at ending the relationship in the other.

  • - If it was a mutual split, feeling of love or hate can linger. coping techniques like projection and denial are often used here in order to cushion impact of stress.
