Literary Genres of the Period • Using your textbooks (Story of our Times p220) or internet-enabled devices, research your assigned topic • Romanticism (literary/artistic/philosophical movement) • Transcendentalism (philosophical movement) • On your group poster, write a brief introduction/overview in bullet points, including • Major/Core Beliefs • How is it defined/recognized from other movements? • Important Figures (authors, philosophers) • Origins/Contributing Causes
