  3. Lion facts • Lions are at the top of the food chain • He is the symbol of England • His height is 4 feet • Scientific name is Panthera Leo • Length is 5 to 8 feet • Lifespan is10 to 14 years • Rank is species • Top speed is 50 miles per hour • Weight is 330 to 500 lbs

  4. Similarities • They both are in the big cat family • They are both carnivores • They both hunt for food • Both of their young are called cubs

  5. Differences • A lion would hunt, kill and eat cheetahs • The lion has a mane and the cheetah doesn’t • The cheetah can run faster than the lion • The cheetah has spots and the lion doesn’t
