  1. What Do You Know About Lake Keowee And Their Properties? Lake Keowee is a beautiful lake situated in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake was build up by Duke Power Company for producing hydroelectric power, but was quickly become much liked and preferred leisure and recreation place for locals and visitors. Lake Keowee is one of the most beautiful lakes in South Carolina. The mountain views from various segments of the lake are simply magnificent. It is situated in 18,500 acres of water and 300-mile shoreline that makes it a large lake and the neighboring area and for other purposes. The water temperature can be quite warm in the summer months, but still remains cool enough to be refreshing for swimming and water sports. This lake is known to be about 297 feet deep, with an average depth of about 52 feet.
