  2. Overview • Dieticians and Nutritionists help people by giving them better eating habits. They usually work with patients with heart disease, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, etc.

  3. Work Environment • Dieticians and Nutrionists work in Kitchens and Food Making areas. Some even work at Hospitals, schools and nursing care facilities. They wear regular hospital suits and gear like some doctors.

  4. Daily Routine Part 1 • Some work weekends and holidays while others work early morning or late evening shifts. • A Dietician and Nutritionists day is basically checking up on other patients and giving them healthier suggestions/Diets.

Qualifications/Educations • To be a Dietician/Nutritionist you have to have a bachelors degree and course work approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). • Training is six to 12 months in length. • You must take a test administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

  7. Qualifications/Educations cont. • The training is completed at a health-care facility, community agency, or a foodservice corporation or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies.

  8. Qualifications • There are no licenses in order to be a Dietician or Nutritionist, but a bachelors degree is the first thing to get.

  16. Conclusion • I learned that a dietician is one of the best health studies there is. They help you with your lifestyles and they can make you a better person physically and sometimes mentally. I found that the part that they give you dinner suggestions really interesting. I didn’t have any questions for this type of health field, it seems simple.
