  3. Kentucky Immunization Registry • KHIE facilitates the delivery of vaccination registration messages (VXU) from healthcare facilities in Kentucky. Live participants: • Harrison Memorial • Rockcastle Regional Hospital • Wayne County Health Center • Kings Daughter Medical Center • Phase 2 of the registry project is in development: • Implement full transaction set • Record queries through KHIE • Return vaccination records or potential match • Phase 3 planned: • Generate official immunization certificate through the KHIE

Kentucky Cancer Registry Connectivity • The Kentucky Cancer Registry (KCR) has received federal funds to expand their surveillance program to include electronic reporting of treatment data • A dermatology practice in Paducah, KY has agreed to pilot an IHE profile for cancer registry reporting • KHIE will insure that the provider report is securely delivered to KCR

Kentucky Cancer Registry Connectivity • The Kentucky Cancer Registry (KCR) has received federal funds to expand their surveillance program to include electronic reporting of treatment data • A dermatology practice in Paducah, KY has agreed to pilot an IHE profile for cancer registry reporting • KHIE will insure that the provider report is securely delivered to KCR • KHIE/PHINMS connectivity development is complete and testing with KCR is ready to begin

KHIE Syndromic Surveillance • KHIE will re-purpose existing edge server and web-services connections to establish a batched feed to the BioSense 2.0 message processing environment.  • The Elysium edge server accepts incoming messages in the format documented by the HL7 Messaging Standard Version 2.6 and is backward compatible with versions 2.0 through 2.5.1. • The KHIE web service is implemented with a generic HL7-standard interface for use in communicating with external systems to exchange information at the point of care. Several HL7 message types are supported, including ADT, compliant with versions 2.4 and 2.5.1 of the HL7 standard.
