  1. ‘Twas the Week OF KCK Act 21st Century CampBased on “The Night Before Christmas”

  2. ‘Twas the week of KCK Act 21 campWhen all week long we were revved up and amped.

  3. Julie, our leader, set the bar real high, And challenged us to reach for the sky!

  4. In hopes that teachers would soon be awareof all the 21st Century Literacy Resources out there. Wallwishers, Wordle, and Wikis to name a few, along with Tagzedo and videos too.

  5. The agenda was set with laptops in hand, off we went with our KCK Strands. Questions were developed all around Retelling, so our resources and activities soon would be gellin’!

  6. We searched the web on how to teach retell, and what we found will ring your bell! Working together to collaborate allows project based learning to integrate.

  7. Discovering learning through communication allowed for understanding as well as frustration. Now it was time to take a lunch break, so our ideas could really marinate…

  8. Creative ideas began to flow, which led us to many resources including Classroom 2.0. Keeping innovation in mind, A variety of web sites we did find.

  9. Critically thinking about our task at hand helped us to gather our thoughts and take a stand. Solutions, Solutions, Solutions galore… gave us innovative ideas for teaching retelling and more…

  10. Students collaborating while making a comic strip, will make them think we are really hip! Producing a commercial would be lots of fun, Movie Maker, Photo Story, Slide Show all in one.

  11. Puppet shows, poems, podcasts and more,help teachers go through the 21st century door. Students actively engaged in role playing, Reader’s Theatre and dramatic plays, help generate enthusiasm throughout the days.

  12. We accomplished our purpose throughout the week, exploring and finding answers we did seek. At last we heard Julie exclaim as we packed for our summer flight,

  13. “Use this knowledge in teaching and your instruction will ignite.” We know classrooms will be overflowing with creativity at every site. Students will find authentic learning quite a delight.
