  1. Teachers Should Be Paid More!

  2. Teacher Pay Around The Globe: • According to the New York Times, a study by the McKinsey Firm shows that in Singapore, South Korea, and Finland teachers are hugely respected and are paid well. In South Korea and Singapore, teachers, on average, earn more than lawyers and engineers. • (Argument By Authority)

  3. How Does The US Compare? • Logos

  4. Why Pay Teachers More? • According to a Primary Sources survey, over 10,000 of the highest performing teachers leave their profession each year due to low compensation. • This means that we are losing our best teachers! Poor teaching wages dissuade smart, talented students from ever becoming teachers. • (Argument By Cause & Effect)

  5. What’s Stopping Us From More Pay? • Ridiculous politicians who label teachers as greedy make it more difficult to attract above-average teachers. These politicians don’t know the first thing about what goes on in a classroom.(Ad Hominem) • Everyone understands that: More Pay=Better Teachers=More Student Success! Other countries pay more! We should too! (Bandwagon)

  6. Paying Educators More Is The Right Thing to Do! • (Ethos)

  7. Don’t Our Children Deserve The Best Teachers?? • (Pathos)
