  1. “Sharing the Gospel with Lost People” (Acts 8:26-38) “The evangelistic harvest is always urgent. The destiny of men and of nations is always being decided. Every generation is strategic. We are not responsible for the past generation, and we cannot bear full responsibility for the next one; but we do have our generation. God will hold us responsible as to how well we fulfill our responsibilities to this age and take advantage of our opportunities.”

  2. “Sharing the Gospel with Lost People” (Acts 8:26-38) (cont.) QUESTION: “Is the evangelistic harvest urgent to us?”

  3. SIX GUIDELINES FOR PERSONAL EVANGELISM 1. SENSITIVITY (Acts 8:26-27a) Those who are intent in sharing the Gospel possess sensitivity to God. 2. AVAILABILITY (8: 27b-29) With sensitivity comes availability. Divine appointments await us if we are available.

  4. 3. INITIATIVE (8:30) Initiative is the first board in building a relationship bridge. Lack of initiative is one of our greatest weaknesses in sharing the Gospel. 4. TACTFULNESS (8: 30-34) PHILIP: • Waited for an invitation • Listened carefully without interrupting • Showed genuine concern and respect for the man. • Remained calm and tactful

  5. 5. PRECISION (8: 35) Philip took the man from where the man was to where he needed to be. PRECISELY HE PREACHED JESUS. The Gospel revolves around Jesus Christ and nothing else. 6. DECISIVENESS (8: 36-38) Belief in the message is first. Then, a public acknowledgment of that faith.

  6. HOW DO YOU SHARE THE GOSPEL? • Sensitivity: Listen carefully to the Lord; be ready and willing to follow His leading. • Availability: Stay flexible. If the Lord says “GO” then “GO.” • Initiative: Look for an appropriate way to beak the ice. • Tactfulness: Speak graciously, carefully, thoughtfully with a desire to uphold dignity. • Preciseness: Share Christ. Stay on the subject. • Decisiveness: Speak of receiving Christ. He will receive those who come to Him by faith.

  7. WHERE THERE IS LIFE TRANSFORMATION. . . • A church engages in both mass evangelism and personal evangelism. • A church crosses man made barriers, prejudices, differences in race, social class, and religion. • Methods may vary, but the message remains the same.
