Courage • Cassias Marcellus Clay AKA (Muhammad Ali) had the courage to become a professional boxer when he was 12 he got his bike stolen and he got really mad so he talked to the police and they told Muhammad Ali about a professional trainer for boxing and that's what put him where he is today. His record 56-5, 37 wins by knockout.

  4. Where he lives... • Muhammad Ali's main home is in Berrien Springs, Michigan. It's a huge, gated "mansion" with a guest house and several smaller buildings on the grounds as well. The tall gate has a big sign that says "ALI FARMS". It's in a cul-de-sac, tucked away in the small Michigan town, about fifteen minutes from Benton Harbour. Currently, however, he's in his summer home in Florida.

  5. When it took place... • Muhammad Ali became a professional boxer in 1954 after he got his bike stolen he promised that “He will whup anyone who stole it”

  6. Why I chose him... I chose Muhammad Ali because he is my favourite boxer.

  7. How his career affected others... • His career affected other people by proving that it doesn’t matter what color skin you are but you can still do anything you want to do and he became a boxer when he was 12!.

  8. Career... •  1960, won light-heavyweight gold medal at the Rome Olympics.  25 February 1964, fought, and knocked out Sonny Liston; became heavyweight champion.    1964, joined Nation of Islam.  1967, inducted into the military but refused to serve.  8 March 1971, Ali lost to Joe Frazier.  Supreme Court ruled in favour of Ali.  28 January 1974, Ali won unanimous decision over Frazier.  30 October 1974, Ali knocked out George Forman in the "Rumble in the Jungle."  15 February 1978, Ali lost the heavyweight title in a split decision to Leon Spinks. Ali regained the title from Spinks seven months later.  1979, Ali retired.  1980, Ali lost a comeback bout to Larry Holmes.  1981, Ali lost a comeback bout to Trevor Berbick.  1996, Ali lit the Olympic flame in Atlanta.
