  3. #2 You need a smile. Not a library card. Blue Parrot Fish Just smile and tell us your name at the Help Desk to check out books and other library materials. Books may be checked out for 3 weeks.

  4. PsychrolutesMarcidus or “Blob Fish” #3 You’re a student. Not a blob. Search the Library’s online catalog for books, etc. Go to the Library’s home page http://education.fcps.org/ohs/mediacenterand click on the LS2 icon

  5. #4 The library has many e-books. Read them on almostany hand-held device! Just search the “Magic Wall” on the library home page or click http://fcpshs.axis360.baker-taylor.com/ Giant Isopod

  6. #5 To find journal articles on a topic, you need to wrap your furry arms around a Library database. There’s a list of Databases by Subject (with passwords) on the Library homepage dropdown menu under “Curriculum Connections” or just click http://education.fcps.org/ohs/curriculumconnections Yeti Crab

  7. #6 You can access online Library resources anywhere you can grab an Internet connection. Just go to the Library homepage at http://education.fcps.org/ohs/mediacenter Pygmy Marmoset

  8. #7 The OHS Library can fit in your back pocket with a free App Download a free OHS Online Catalog App (for iPhone, iPod Touch, and Android devices) by going to http://www.youseemore.com/ls2mobile/ls2-mobile-set-up-instructions.pdf NOTE: your Library ID is your full student ID number.   9. Thorny Dragon #8 You can avoid thorny issues. Renew your books online! Use the free OHS Online Catalog App or access your account from the Library homepage via the LS2 icon. Click on LS2 under the search box then click on Log In in the upper right.   10. Axolotl #9 If we don’t have a book you need, we can look for it elsewhere! Just ask at the Help Desk and we’ll see if it’s available at another FCPS school or the public library.

  11. Bush Viper #10 We have copiers and printers (use s-s-s-s-s-sparingly). These are for limited individual use. Black and white copies and print-outs are 10 cents each, payable at the Help Desk.

  12. Star-nosed Mole #11 The Library offers many services and equipment to make you a star student. Check out video and digital cameras, borrow a KindleFire, make posters, use our scanners and computers, work in a small group with one of our Chromebooks (limited to 14).

  13. Okapi #12 You can come to the library just to study (NOT socialize). Sign up for Library SET before your first block as much as every other day, as needed (limited to 36 students). Or come up from the cafeteria after you eat your lunch. You must sign out of the cafeteria and sign in at the library.
