  5. Guidelines--Students • 40 credits of General Education • Complete three approved diversity courses or experiences • Goal Area 7: Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the U.S.; • Goal Area 8: Global perspectives; and • One additional General Education course that has a Diversity flag. • A course may satisfy up to 2 goal areas • May double count toward a major or minor • Transfer students with completed MTCs or Goal Area (GA) excused from SCSU GA

Guidelines -- Departments • No department limit on the # of courses • No prefixes may be excluded from GE • Use regular curriculum approval process • Must be included in the General Education Assessment Plan • May double count toward a major or minor • Course satisfy all or 80 % of the SLOs for a Goal area. • Some goals may be satisfied by approved experiences
