  1. Cauayan Campus Extension and Training Services ANNUAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT FOR CY 2006 (January to December)

  2. Introduction The ISU-Cauayan Campus is undertaking an Extension Program for the Out-Of-School Youth, children and adults at Barangay San Isidro, Cauayan City, Isabela. The ISU-Cauayan Campus believes that this Extension will not only provide the OSY and adults the basic skills and knowledge but provide them Opportunities to learn to be productive and self sufficient In their own communities.

  3. Objectives • To evolve, develop and promote an effective and integrated extension strategy that will transform a pilot barangay into a self-reliant, empowered and progressive community.

  4. To continuously promote the transfer, utilization and commercialization of mautred technologies that would ensure food security and accelerate agro-industrialization in the countryside.

  5. To establish and maintain partnerships with LGU’s other government agencies, NGOs, private sectors and funding institutions. • To assist LGUs in harnessing their capabilities in the delivery of extension programs and services.

  6. To pilot test and package matured and viable science and technologies for communities. • To provide technical assistance and expertise to government agencies, businessmen, NGOs and Pos in accessing opportunities and in building partnerships with other organizations.

  7. Specific Objectives • To encourage OSY to go back to school. • To develop talents, interests and skills of the OSY to become self propelling, fulfilled and contributing member of the community.

  8. To acquire skills in flower making, baking, catering and food preservation. • To strengthen and enhance the capabilities of Barangay Officials, clients at adopted barangay.

  9. To provide opportunities for the arangay residents to upgrade their knowledge and skills for self-employment and income generating activities. • To encourage farmers to use original fertilizers for the employment vof soil condition.

  10. To provide literacy, and life skills through the alternative system of teaching and learning • To decrease the member of out-of-schools-youth in the streets of Cauayan City. • To conduct feeding program.

  11. To conduct computer literacy and computer application program to the adopted barangay and other target clientele. • To update the clientele with the latest technology. • To establish linkages and networking with private groups and Local Governement Units (LGU’s) • To encourage the involvement of faculty extensionist and students.

  12. To develop deep love of country through internalization of human virtues, good human relations, deep respect with the law and the maintenance of peace and order within the locality for a better service to the community.
