  2. What is a Learning Management System (LMS)? A web based software solution for planning, delivering, and managing all learning events within an organization, including online, virtual classroom, and instructor-led courses

  3. Any personal experiences with a learning management system?

Why an LMS for the LBMDF? • Cost effective, efficient way to deliver training onsite • Reduces employee/instructor travel • Allows a robust selection of seminars with a limited investment • Available on demand- employees can access whenever and wherever convenient • Access to quality content from third-party providers • Ability to bring up original LBM content • Can reach a larger audience

  5. Why an LMS for the LBMDF? • Easy tracking of student progress and performance • Greater retention by learners- can repeat content as needed • No geographic limitations • Downtime/slowtime can easily be spent learning • Generally more affordable than in person training

  6. Features of an LMS • Use of audio, video, text and images to present content • Integrated testing • Reporting- ability to track student access of content and performance on tests • Includes ecommerce- ability to purchase content online

  16. Content and Functionality • Similar content from some of the same companies • BTL has more compliance and safety training. Super U can add this content if there is sufficient demand • Functionality and ease of use of each similar – excellent

  17. Pricing Cost to LBMDF Super U: $10,500 upfront for all setup, etc., first year cost only. No minimum sales requirement. BTL: Two year contract. $10,000/yr. in guaranteed sales required ($ paid upfront each year.)

After that, $22.95 or $44.95 per seminar/login/yr (Also offering $350/login/year for unlimited access) BTL: Seminars priced from $99 - $106/yr(Opportunities for lower pricing with volume or ‘bundling’)
