  4. Monday • Download Game Film • Review for verification of Foul Report • Review foul report and approve before it’s submitted • Conference Calls • www.conferencecall.com • Position Call • Crew Call

  5. Mid Week Procedures • Plan pre-game • Create quiz questions • Delegate film and game cards • Review self assessment notes • Review crew assessment notes

  6. Mid Week Procedures • Check Film4OVC and Arbiter/CFO • Physical Preparation • Confirm hotel and meal • Study the rulebook • Call/e-mail fellow officials

  7. Day Before Game • Travel • Mandatory crew meal • Review logistics and schedule • Download & watch JJ’s Training Video • Check Arbiter for CFO updates/videos • Pre-game discussion and review for current game

  8. Game Day • Review rules, mechanics, quiz, • Discuss timing/penalty admin, • Review notes from previous week • Set a self/crew improvement goal for game • Silent and/or reflection time • Follow CCA/conference manual for taking the field

  9. The Role Responsibility Excellent Communication Fair Efficient Rules Exceptional Decision Making Quickly Enthusiasm (controlled)

  10. Post-Game Procedures • Review Foul Report (Immediately) • Assess performance of crew members • Call JJ to report on any unusual play(s),situation(s) or mistake(s) that may have happened.

  11. Day After Game • Take this day to decompress • Spend time with family, attend church, and check on your crew • Thank your family for allowing you to officiate college football • Send R email with any questions for conference call w/ JJ

  12. Final Thoughts • Always be prepared • Expect the unexpected • Failure to prepare is preparing to fail • Do your homework • Work every game like it’s your last • Pay it forward • It’s bigger than us
