  1. A Brief description of the Clouds and the Earth's Radiant Energy System (CERES) Ocean Validation Experiment (COVE) Presented at the 10th International Pyrheliometer Intercomparison in Davos, Switzerland September 26 to October 14 2005, by Fred Denn Edited by: Jay Madigan

  2. The Mission Measure and predict global Climate change EOS Earth Observing System. CERES Clouds and the Earth's Radiant Energy System COVE CERES Ocean Validation Experiment.

  3. The COVE Site, 25km Offshore in the Atlantic Ocean

  4. Why locate COVE at the Chesapeake Light station? One of the purposes of COVE is to be a satellite ground truth site. It is far enough off shore that satellite over flights often see only the uniform ocean surface, greatly reducing the complexity of data analysis. COVE is also a Baseline Surface Radiation Network (BSRN) site.

  5. Platform on Which the COVE Site is Located, U.S. Coast Guard Chesapeake Light Station
